Personal Note

The encounter begins with small talk. Rather than starting with wine terminology, the AI persona asks about memorable moments, your mood and what you might want from a moment of rest. The conversation gives personal context to the recommendation and offers a familiar way to approach an unfamiliar choice.

The system uses Cables to connect conversation, image generation and recommendation. AI requests with different roles work on the conversation: Today summarises its context, while Visionary gives the day a title and prepares an image prompt.

In the example shown, a reunion with a friend becomes the title Sparkling Warmth and a prompt describing soft gradients and abstract textures. The participant’s account becomes material for the image that follows.

The conversation is condensed into a short account of the participant’s day. A poetic title and a prompt for image generation translate that account into an abstract visual expression. Colour, texture and atmosphere give the participant something to look at and respond to as the conversation continues.

Choices about the image’s colour, density, smoothness and roughness are connected to characteristics such as wine type, body, acidity and tannin. As the visual image changes, the participant’s preferences take a more specific form. The interaction leads to a personalised image and a wine recommendation, linking an account of the day with the language of taste.

A recommendation becomes a moment to describe how the day felt and to discover how that feeling might find expression in a different sense. Developed through Art Impact Lab, the project explores how personal conversation can connect generated media with an everyday choice.
