ABOUT
Arrddon (Kiryung Nam) is an artist based between London and Seoul, exploring how collective experience and imagination are formed and realised through interactive systems. He structures how people imagine, communicate, and create together, working with the ways individual experiences connect and transform at a collective level. His practice focuses on designing the conditions and structures through which experience is generated and shared, grounded in participation and interaction.
His work begins with collecting individual experiences such as memories, sensations, and ideas, and transforming them into shared experiential structures within participatory environments.
Through real-time interaction, generative AI, and system design, he investigates how collective imagination takes form and evolves within social contexts.
He treats technology not simply as a tool, but as a medium for constructing experience, using systems as material for artistic practice. His work extends across projects, workshops, and learning environments, experimenting with new forms of learning and connection through interaction and collective creation.
In particular, he approaches “Creative Learning” as a practice, designing processes through which people learn and create together.
He studied Arts Management at Korea National University of Arts and led the artist collective Rigidbody, developing collaborative projects and participatory workshops. He later taught as an Adjunct Professor, focusing on art and technology convergence and creative learning environments. He is currently pursuing an MA in Information Experience Design at the Royal College of Art in London and leads research at the Center for Creative Intelligence Design (CCID) in Seoul, exploring generative AI and interaction through system-based experimentation.
아르동 (남기륭)은 런던과 서울을 기반으로 집단적 경험과 상상이 형성되는 방식을 탐구하고, 이를 인터랙티브 시스템으로 구현하는 아티스트이다. 그는 사람들이 상상하고, 소통하고, 함께 만들어가는 방식을 구조화하며, 개인의 경험이 집단적 차원에서 어떻게 연결되고 전환되는지를 다룬다. 그의 작업은 참여와 상호작용을 기반으로, 경험이 생성되고 공유되는 조건과 구조를 설계하는 데 초점을 둔다.
그의 작업은 기억, 감각, 생각과 같은 개인의 경험을 수집하고, 이를 공동의 경험 구조로 전환하는 참여적 환경에서 출발한다.
실시간 인터랙션과 생성형 AI, 시스템 설계를 통해 집단적 상상이 사회적 맥락 속에서 형성되고 확장되는 과정을 탐구한다.
그는 기술을 단순한 도구가 아닌 경험을 구성하는 매체로 다루며, 시스템을 하나의 예술적 재료로 활용한다. 작업은 다양한 형태의 프로젝트와 워크숍, 학습 환경으로 확장되며, 상호작용과 공동 창작을 통해 새로운 학습과 연결의 방식을 실험한다.
특히 그는 ‘창의적 배움’을 하나의 실천으로 다루며, 사람들이 함께 배우고 창작하는 과정 자체를 설계한다.
한국예술종합학교에서 예술경영을 전공했으며, 아티스트 콜렉티브 <Rigidbody>를 이끌며 협업 프로젝트와 참여형 워크숍을 지속했다. 이후 한국예술종합학교 겸임교수로 재직하며 예술과 기술의 융합, 창의적 학습 환경에 대한 연구를 진행했다. 현재 런던 왕립예술대학 정보경험디자인 석사 과정에 재학 중이며, 서울의 Center for Creative Intelligence Design (CCID)에서 생성형 AI와 인터랙션 기반 시스템 연구를 이끌고 있다.
